As the Weekly Photo Challenge series has come to an end, I thought I’d still like to post a single photo each week, alongside one of my usual posts.
For me, one of the challenging aspects of the Weekly Photo Challenge was keeping (mostly) to the confines of our own garden when coming up with an image to fit the theme for the week. So now that the series is over, I thought why not allow myself to post a weekly photo from further afield, a photo taken beyond the confines of our suburban garden, though still sticking with the notion of letting nature back in? So each week I will post a nature photo that I find in my archive.
So here is the first photo in my series dubbed Weekly Photo Find. It is of a Red-headed Finch that I photographed in the Central Kalahari Game Reserve in Botswana, in April 2016. He and a small group of other birds were hanging out near our campsite.
