The sun always on their horizon, a new horizon every day! The gerbera daisies in our garden are showing me the way.
What could be simpler than a daisy following the sun? What could be more inspirational for a simple life, enjoying what is here and now, local, renewable, beautiful and connected to its environment?
These thoughts are inspired by this week’s photo challenge that asks us to think ahead and imagine new horizons.
The Gerbera ambigua, an African grassland flower, is a member of the daisy family (Asteraceae). It sustains and self-seeds itself in the patch of indigenous grassland in our suburban garden.★

I love the idea of flower representing the seizing of the present. It is also interesting that you are showing the picture flower from the back. Nice touch.

Wonderful image! Not many folk think of taking a photo of a flower from the back.

Thank you Pete. I love these simple flowers made more interesting by the fact that the fronts of the petals are white.

Thanks Tina. I was hopeful that it was suited to the challenge, but not that sure 🙂
