This week things have got a bit hectic so I am just saying hi and postponing the post on elephant communication until next week.
In the top photo an elephant and youngster are approaching a group of elephants at a waterhole, and in the photo below two elephants are greeting in an expanse of bush at the Addo Elephant National Park.

Thanks for letting us know that all is proceeding reasonably well (any sort of surgery can certainly be upsetting.) Thanks for the eye candy. Your elephants were a lovely place holder. It seems I’m so far behind (2 steps forward, 3 back) that your next post is already awaiting me somewhere up ahead. I look forward to seeing that all is progressing as it should. Best wishes to you and your husband! 🙏

Thanks Julie. As I mentioned below, my husband had shoulder surgery last week. Fortunately all went well and he is now recovering.

Thanks so much Graham. As I mentioned in some other comments, my husband had shoulder surgery last week and we had a bit to finish off and catch up before he went into the hospital. The surgery went well and now he just needs to take time for it to heal.

A lovely photo to keep us ticking over, Carol. I hope it’s good hectic, and that things are OK with you. There’s no hurry for your next contribution, even though I look forward to your posts. Few of us are going anywhere! Look after yourselves.

Thanks for your considerate thoughts Margaret. As I said to Sandra, my husband had surgery to his shoulder last week. As it was a bit sooner than expected we had quite a bit to catch up on in a hurry. The surgery went well and he is now in recovery mode.
I hope to be able to catch up on blog-reading in the next few days.

Tell him not to overdo it. I did, after shoulder surgery, and am back to square one. My fault, so encourage him to behave!
