Perching on our garden fence, this Hadeda Ibis reveals textured layers of iridescent feathers as it preens.

Brilliant shot.
They stalk my garden as well, but if I want to photograph them I have to lock the dogs up first before I venture outside!

That is a staggeringly good capture…. It it actually makes me shiver. I can’t touch feathered wings (very old deep rooted phobia) and this picture is SO real!
