Repurposing reduces waste, extends the life of items put to new use, and taps our undiscovered creativity.
We have put an old ironing board to new use as a plant stand, various bottles, bowls and jars are reused for a variety of purposes, and we have repurposed a collection of old stamps to give new life to the top of an old table – extending both the usefulness of the stamps and the table.
Jam jar as candle holder on an old table given new life with repurposed stamps. Hopefully, there isn’t a collectible, rare stamp now fixed to the table top

Brilliant idea! An absorbing job for when you can’t get out in the garden.

Thanks. It took a degree of obsessiveness and a high level of co-operation between the two of us to get it done!

I have an old map (not appraised for very much), perhaps it would make a nice side table 🙂 thanks for the inspiration.

That sounds like a great idea. We used photographic glue (no margin for error as it sticks immediately!) and then applied varnish layer by layer. Info on decoupage techniques might be helpful for your project 🙂

Thanks Audrey. The stamps involved a fiddly process but it became quite addictive!
