The autumn days are shortening here in South Africa, but our small vegetable garden is still yielding edible greens.
This week’s photo challenge invites us to celebrate the colour green, with the theme “It IS easy being green”. Eating one’s greens is never easier than when they are freshly picked from one’s own vegetable garden. This miscellany of perennial herbs and summer plantings assembled for the photo includes spring onion, chives, sprigs of rosemary, origanum, thyme, basil, parsley and celery, three kinds of mint, pepperdew, chilli, cos lettuce, leaves from potted bay, lime, lemon and curry trees, nasturtium, alfafa and lavender.
Eat yer greens and lose the blues.

Thanks Anne. Last of the summer greens – do you see that snow is forecast for the Drakensberg mountains in Lesotho this weekend!

An attractive platter of healthful greens, Carol. Thinking pesto with some of those ingredients, yummm!
