A flower portrait this week, the lovely flower of the Curry Bush (Hypericum revolutum).
This hardy plant loves the sun. Its common name comes from the scent it exudes when crushed that is supposed to smell like curry.

Thanks Graham. Disappointingly perhaps, I think the curry connection is a bit of a stretch, but it does have a sort of a spicy aroma rather than a flowery scent.
