  Thanks very much Anne. Most of these images were taken when walking (in the camps I hasten to add). When walking one has such a different perspective than when in the car.

Love, love, love these images, Carol. So well seen and photographed. Your captions are terrific, too. Mutualistic, Storm, Chevronesque, Intrusions and Twist spoke to me in particular. Great set. 🙂

Your artistic muse certainly went to Kruger with you, Carol!

Try as I might I can’t figure out what is depicted in “Chevronesque”?

And I love it when my rear window looks like that. I actually felt heartsore when our Duster had to go for a service this past week and the garage gave it back to me sparkling clean with not a whiff of elephant dung to be detected anymore…

  Thanks Dries. ‘Chevronesque’ is a close-up of a section of a leaf of a species of Sansevieria (Mother-in laws tongue). I photographed it on the walking trail in a section of the Punda Maria restcamp.
  It is good that you had your vehicle serviced, though a shame in a way to now have a dust-free (and dung-free) Duster. I hope you get to accumulate more dust and elephant dung in the not too distant future!

These are wonderful and I love the titles for them. They’re like font names, but for images.

  Thanks Graham. It is so interesting your observation re font names, as I did think that some of details, for example in ‘cryptic’, resemble some kind of writing! Perhaps that had some kind of influence on the titles I came up with 🙂
