The theme of this week’s photo challenge is “transmogrify”. Here are some river frog eggs about to transform into tadpoles.
This photo was taken in a small water feature in our suburban wildlife garden in KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa. ★

Thanks Nikki. I wonder if any of the birdbath tadpoles will survive to any kind of maturity?

Such memories! My sister and I used to gather a few of these tadpoles many years ago from the local pond in spring and we had a huge “tadpole farm.” We watched daily as they grew their arms and legs developing into bullfrogs. Then we would let them go back out in to the wild. Fascinating!

Thanks Marigold blooms. I used my trusty Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ200. It is just a bridge camera but absolutely great in low light.

LOL! I have the Panasonic Lumix ZS40 and bought it for its low light capability! It’s an amazing camera. I lean on my iPhone a little too much, mostly bc I don’t always have the Lumix on me. I think this is a sign from it for a little more attention! 😉
